There Are LEGO People Aboard The Juno Spacecraft!

Ha! I love this, very cool. The spacecraft that just entered into orbit around Jupiter on Monday night (July 4th) after a five-year journey has three Lego figurines on board! The mission of the spacecraft is to study our solar system’s largest planet and the figurines represent Galileo,¬†who discovered four of Jupiter’s moons in 1610, the Roman god Jupiter, and Jupiter’s wife Juno. Galileo is holding a model of the planet and his telescope, Jupiter is holding a lightning bolt, and Juno — the namesake of the spacecraft — is holding a magnifying glass to signify her search for truth. Of course, these aren’t your regular Legos, these were made of spacecraft-grade aluminum to withstand extreme temperatures.
